Accountant – Full‑time position in Dar es Salaam

About the role

The Accountant will join CNS Group’s finance team in Dar es Salaam, handling day‑to‑day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with local regulations. This full‑time position supports the company’s financial reporting and audit processes.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date general ledger entries and supporting documentation.
• Prepare monthly financial statements, bank reconciliations and variance analyses.
• Ensure timely filing of statutory taxes and compliance with financial regulations.
• Assist internal and external auditors by providing schedules, documentation and audit trails.
• Support the finance team with ad‑hoc reporting and analysis as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Proven experience in financial accounting, bookkeeping or corporate finance.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with modern accounting software or ERP systems.
