Warehouse Assistant (Arusha)

About the role

The Warehouse Assistant supports the efficient operation of Rijk Zwaan's farm warehouse in Arusha. You will receive, store, and dispatch materials needed for seed production and other farm activities, ensuring accuracy and safety at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, record and store deliveries of greenhouse supplies, fuel, tools, equipment, food items and consumables.
• Maintain organized bin locations, label items correctly and follow safe stacking practices.
• Conduct regular stock counts, assist with inventory audits and report any shortages or discrepancies.
• Pick, assemble and prepare materials for internal departments and external deliveries, preparing all required documentation.
• Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Enter inventory data into the IBMS ERP system, verify accuracy and maintain a tidy filing system.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts and hand trucks (training provided) and keep the warehouse clean and well‑maintained.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Physical stamina to handle manual loading and unloading tasks.
• Proactive attitude toward inventory accuracy and workplace safety.
• Ability to follow FIFO/FEFO principles and standard operating procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with or willingness to be trained on IBMS ERP inventory management system.
• Forklift operation (training provided).
• Pallet jack and hand‑truck operation.
• Basic computer and data‑entry skills.
