About the role

Join Madinihub, a new Tanzanian social network, as a Volunteer Journalist. You will help shape the platform’s content by covering local stories, writing engaging articles, and highlighting community issues. This remote, flexible position is ideal for journalists looking to build a digital portfolio and gain visibility.

Key responsibilities

• Research, verify, and write news stories, features, and community spotlights for Madinihub.
• Ensure all content complies with Tanzanian media laws and ethical standards.
• Engage with the Madinihub community to discover grassroots stories and trending topics.
• Collaborate with the founding team to develop editorial guidelines.

Required profile

• Valid JAB ID (Press Card) issued by the Journalists Accreditation Board of Tanzania.
• Active registration on the TAI‑HABARI system.
• Strong command of written Swahili and/or English.
• Passion for digital media, social networking, and community‑driven storytelling.
• Commitment to factual reporting and ethical journalism.
