Territory Manager – Telecom Sales

About the role
Vodafone is looking for a Territory Manager to drive sustainable revenue growth and market penetration across assigned territories in Tanzania. You will lead sales and distribution initiatives, align distributor performance with the company’s digital‑first vision, and ensure a superior customer experience in a fast‑changing telecom environment.
Key responsibilities
- Achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets through effective engagement with distributors and dealers.
- Use data analytics to identify high‑potential areas and optimise sales strategies.
- Implement and monitor end‑to‑end distribution plans to guarantee product availability and visibility.
- Identify and close gaps in the distribution chain, especially in underserved or high‑growth zones.
- Provide market insights to inform pricing, promotions, and channel strategies.
- Champion digital tools to drive customer self‑service and adoption.
- Ensure retail execution standards, including digital POS systems, pricing integrity and brand consistency.
- Support distributor capability building through training, joint field visits and performance reviews.
- Deliver timely reports on sales performance, stock levels and market trends.
- Gather customer feedback to influence product development and service enhancements.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in telecom or FMCG sales or distribution management.
- Strong understanding of Tanzania’s telecom market and regional dynamics.
- Proven ability to manage channel partners and drive performance in a competitive environment.
- Strategic thinking with strong commercial acumen.
- Resilience under pressure and agility in fast‑paced settings.
