Site Operations Manager – Logistics

About the role

Africa Global Logistics Tanzania Limited is seeking a Site Operations Manager to oversee multiple logistics sites across Dar es Salaam. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient, and profitable operations while supporting the company’s growth and commitment to diversity and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the operational activities of Vingunguti, Chango'mbe, Mikocheni, Tegeta and Ubungo sites.
• Ensure safe and timely completion of all work, including traffic flow, lifting, handling, cargo receipt, storage, and dispatch.
• Maintain regular mechanical maintenance of company assets and enforce safety standards.
• Implement open‑yard and repository policies and coordinate loading/unloading procedures.
• Conduct systematic cargo inspections and report damages immediately.
• Supervise inventory control, maintain databases, and record stock movements accurately.
• Lead hiring, training, development and supervision of site staff in coordination with HR.
• Monitor and maintain equipment, vehicles and consumables (including PPE) in safe condition.
• Alert management to significant operational issues affecting safety or service quality.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multiple logistics or warehouse sites.
• Strong focus on safety and ability to enforce safety procedures.
• Leadership skills to hire, train and supervise operational teams.
• Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail for inventory and documentation.
• Ability to communicate operational updates to senior management.
