Shared Site Training Controller

About the role

The Shared Site Training Controller is responsible for creating and sustaining a progressive learning environment for Level 1 and Level 2 teams in a brewery setting. You will deliver hands‑on training, coach staff, and ensure that competence development directly supports site performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver training programmes on the shop floor and identify learning opportunities.
• Develop and manage apprenticeships and coordinate VPO operational training.
• Create, update and maintain training documentation and SOPs.
• Manage Level 1 SKAP administrative processes, schedule assessments and ensure compliance with the SKAP assessment plan.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and facilitate the design of foundational practices.
• Coach team leaders and Level 1 staff on VPO practices and problem‑solving techniques.
• Provide coaching support for performance and management processes.

Required profile

• Background in maintenance within an FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of skills development, training needs identification and training budgets.
• Relevant tertiary qualification or recognized Training & Development certification.
• Minimum three years of experience delivering training or coaching in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication, facilitation and analytical abilities.
• Knowledge of the Skills Development Act and related legislation.

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
