Service Planning Officer

About the role

A client of Shugulika Africa Limited, operating in the engineering and technical services industry, is looking for a Service Planning Officer in Dar es Salaam. The officer develops, coordinates and monitors service schedules so that services are delivered efficiently and on time, and also prepares quotations and invoices, liaises with technicians and follows up on service completion.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage monthly, quarterly and annual service plans and schedules for clients.
• Send out proforma invoices for scheduled services and prepare quotations for service and supply.
• Compile and maintain service reports, confirming works completed for both service and supply.
• Coordinate technicians, resources and activities to ensure timely and efficient service execution.
• Monitor service schedules, update clients and track progress; follow up and remind clients to keep delivery on agreed timelines.
• Perform routine quality checks on serviced equipment before dispatch and at client sites.
• Receive and dispatch equipment, making sure all service documentation is completed.
• Balance service demand with capacity to optimise resource allocation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in service planning, coordination or a similar role in a technical or engineering environment.
• Experience in technical services, maintenance or equipment servicing is an added advantage.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, excellent communication skills, attention to detail and self-motivation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office and scheduling/project management tools.
• Ability to manage multiple schedules and priorities at once.
