Senior Tyre Retreading Technician

About the role

The company operates across petroleum, logistics, transportation and manufacturing, including tyre production and retreading. They are looking for a Senior Tyre Retreading Technician to lead the complete retreading process, ensuring high‑quality, safe, and efficient output.

Key responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the full production cycle of retreaded tyres, from casing inspection to final inspection.
• Inspect incoming used tyre casings, determine suitability for retreading, and segregate unsuitable units.
• Operate and monitor tyre buffing equipment, maintaining correct radius, width, diameter, profile and surface texture without damaging the casing.
• Identify casing injuries and perform repair, skiving and filling procedures as required.
• Inspect tyres for air pockets, wrinkles, gaps, misalignment and other defects before curing.
• Operate and monitor curing equipment such as autoclaves, curing chambers or presses, according to plant processes.

Required profile

• Technical Certificate, Diploma or equivalent in Tyre Technology, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in tyre retreading or re‑threading production.
• Proven experience in a commercial tyre retreading plant, preferably with truck, bus, OTR or passenger‑car tyres.
• Experience operating or supervising tyre retreading machinery and curing equipment.
