Senior Technical Advisor - Supply Chain

About the role

The Senior Technical Advisor – Supply Chain Management provides strategic leadership and technical guidance to strengthen HIV/TB commodity logistics and supply chain systems across supported regions, districts, and sites, ensuring uninterrupted availability of essential commodities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to strengthen commodity security for HIV, TB, and related products across all supported facilities.
• Lead design, rollout, and monitoring of Differentiated Service Delivery models, focusing on Decentralized Drug Distribution and Community Pharmacy ART refill initiatives.
• Strengthen eLMIS and Pharmacy Module performance through timely reporting, data quality, stock analysis and evidence‑based decision‑making.
• Work with R/CHMTs and facility teams on forecasting, quantification, inventory management, multi‑month dispensing and proactive redistribution to prevent stock‑outs.
• Collaborate with MSD, NASHCoP, NTLP and other partners to resolve last‑mile delivery challenges and system bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Supply Chain Management, Public Health, Logistics or related field; postgraduate qualification preferred.
• 5–7 years progressive experience in pharmaceutical supply chain management, preferably within HIV/TB programs in Tanzania.
• Demonstrated experience with Medical Stores Department, eLMIS and national commodity logistics systems.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel frequently to supported regions and districts.
