Senior Specialist Financial Reporting

About the role

The Senior Specialist Financial Reporting will join the Finance Department at CRDB Bank’s Tanzania Head Office, ensuring that all bank and group financial statements are prepared in strict compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards. The role involves close collaboration with business units, auditors, and senior management to deliver accurate and timely reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual trial balances and support the production of audited financial statements for the bank and the group.
• Coordinate internal and external audit activities, provide documentation, respond to queries and resolve findings.
• Develop quarterly Board and Management performance reports, including variance analysis against budgets, forecasts and prior periods.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS 9 and IFRS 16, including EIR calculations, interest income recognition, loan fee amortisation and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) computations.
• Post month‑end and year‑end journal entries, accruals, provisions and adjustments, and liaise with subsidiaries to capture accurate group financial data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• Professional qualification such as CPA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Minimum three years of experience in financial reporting with solid practical knowledge of IFRS.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines and maintain high data accuracy.
