Senior Regional Technical Officer, Clinical Services

About the role

The Senior Regional Technical Officer – Clinical Services provides technical leadership and clinical guidance for HIV and TB service implementation under the EpiC & AFGHS‑FHI360 projects in Tanzania. The role strengthens quality, coverage and integration of services across police, prisons and public health facilities in the assigned region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure clinical components meet project objectives and national guidelines.
• Coordinate technical assistance to health facilities, including staff training, clinical mentoring, CME, patient‑flow analysis and data use.
• Build district capacity in program management, strategic planning and sustainability.
• Collaborate with M&E teams to use routine data for performance monitoring and quality improvement.
• Facilitate technical review meetings and clinical case discussions to document best practices.

Required profile

• Medical degree with national registration; Master’s in Public Health is an advantage.
• Minimum 6 years experience in HIV/TB clinical services, preferably in donor‑funded programs.
• Proven experience in clinical mentorship, supportive supervision and quality improvement.
• Fluency in English and Kiswahili.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Data analysis and use of routine clinical data for decision‑making.
