Senior Program Manager – Tanzania

About the role

VillageReach is seeking a Senior Program Manager to lead its health‑program portfolio in Tanzania. The role will oversee laboratory sample transport, community surveillance, and a 24‑month telehealth pilot, working closely with local partners, the Ministry of Health, and international funders.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor community surveillance and laboratory sample transport activities in partnership with CIHEB Tanzania.
• Coordinate the 24‑month Afya Call Center pilot in Dar es Salaam, linking feedback to district and facility teams.
• Oversee the 5‑year operational plan follow‑up and support the National Telehealth Community of Practice.
• Lead business‑development efforts across primary health care, supply chain, immunization, outbreak response, telehealth, and women’s health.
• Provide technical assistance, trainings, and capacity‑building for government and partner staff.
• Prepare high‑quality deliverables for the Global Program Manager and ensure timely reporting.

Required profile

• Significant experience managing health programs in low‑resource settings.
• Proven ability to work with government agencies, NGOs, and private‑sector partners.
• Strong project‑management and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience in business development for health‑service delivery.
