Senior Operations Manager

About the role

Bolt is looking for a Senior Operations Manager to lead driver engagement, marketplace efficiency, rider growth, and platform safety in Tanzania. You will own key performance indicators and drive initiatives that scale the marketplace while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute driver engagement strategies to improve onboarding, activation, retention and loyalty.
• Maximise completed rides while meeting Payback and IRR targets, monitoring marketplace health and unit economics.
• Identify and resolve city‑level performance blockers, collaborating with cross‑functional teams.
• Balance supply and demand to reduce cancellations, improve ETAs and enhance reliability.
• Drive rider growth, retention and lifetime value through targeted engagement and partnership with marketing.
• Lead safety and compliance initiatives with government bodies, tax authorities and law enforcement.

Required profile

• 9+ years of experience in operations, mobility, marketplace platforms or logistics.
• Proven track record leading large‑scale operational or marketplace functions.
• Strong analytical mindset with data‑driven decision making.
• Experience working with cross‑functional and headquarters stakeholders.
