Senior HR Business Partner

About the role

Palmpay is seeking a proactive Senior HR Business Partner to act as a strategic bridge between HR and business leaders across its African operations. The role will drive talent management, employee engagement, performance, and compliance initiatives that align with the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior business leaders to design and implement HR strategies that support organizational goals.
• Coach managers and employees, fostering development, engagement, and high performance.
• Lead talent management programs, including workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Analyse HR metrics, identify trends, and recommend data‑driven improvements.
• Support and lead change initiatives such as restructurings, mergers, and process enhancements.
• Collaborate with HR Centres of Expertise and global HR functions to roll out policies, programs, and compliance measures.
• Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, compensation, benefits, and labour‑law compliance.
• Assist training, development, and employee‑engagement initiatives aligned with business priorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience in the fintech or banking sector.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to translate business metrics into HR strategy.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills.
• Experience in change management, organizational design, and HR project management.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Data analysis and reporting tools.
• Advanced MS Office Suite skills.
