Senior Grants Manager

About the role

The Senior Grants Manager will provide comprehensive grants and sub‑grant management support to EGPAF Tanzania’s programs, ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance on grant policies, compliance, and sub‑award management to program staff and sub‑recipients.
• Oversee the full sub‑award lifecycle, including pre‑award assessment, negotiation, monitoring, risk assessment, and close‑out.
• Develop and maintain tracking systems and information management systems (CGIS) for sub‑agreements and grants.
• Generate monthly budget vs. actual reports, monitor sub‑recipient expenditures, and ensure timely cash requests.
• Lead training sessions for staff and sub‑recipients on donor regulations, financial management, and CGIS usage.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Public Health, International Development or related field; Master's or CPA preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive grants management experience, including large US Government‑funded awards (USAID, CDC, PEPFAR).
• Strong knowledge of USG rules, donor compliance, budgeting, financial monitoring, and audit processes.
• Proven leadership experience supervising and mentoring grants staff.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office applications.
