Senior Finance and Administration Manager

About the role

The Senior Finance and Administration Manager supports the Director of Operations in overseeing finance, human resources, administration, IT, procurement and logistics for field offices in Kagera and Tabora. The role works closely with senior HIV/TB Sustainability managers to ensure smooth project implementation and compliance with donor and organizational policies.

Key responsibilities

• Provide HR support, ensure policy adherence, manage performance evaluations and oversee attendance, recruitment and exit processes.
• Maintain vehicle, fuel, safety, security and utility reports; ensure office accessibility and equipment maintenance.
• Oversee IT infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, manage backups and enforce IT policies.
• Manage procurement, inventory, bid analysis, vendor relations and VAT refund processes.
• Develop and monitor regional budgets, prepare monthly financial reports, perform bank reconciliations and petty‑cash controls.
• Facilitate sub‑grant administration, cash‑flow management and compliance reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA certification required.
• 5‑7 years of experience as a Finance Manager or equivalent, including staff supervision.
• Strong knowledge of US Government donor regulations and Tanzanian financial policies.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Kiswahili proficiency is a plus.
