Senior Accountant – Hospitality & Entertainment

About the role

The Senior Accountant will oversee the organisation's accounting operations and support financial management activities. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, strengthening internal controls, supervising the accounting team and ensuring compliance with statutory and reporting requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and oversee the General Ledger, prepare monthly management accounts and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Review daily cash reconciliations, monitor cash collections, manage bank reconciliations and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Supervise supplier account reconciliations, verify balances and assist internal and external audits.
• Assist with budgeting, financial analysis, departmental performance reporting and statutory/tax compliance.
• Lead, mentor and supervise the Payables Accountant and Cashiers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as CPA (T), ACCA or CIMA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably with staff supervision.
• Experience in hospitality, retail, entertainment or service industries is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, general ledger management, reconciliations and budgeting.
