Sales & Marketing Executive – Steel & Building Materials

About the role

The company, a leading player in steel manufacturing and building materials, is seeking a dynamic Sales & Marketing Executive to drive growth in the Mbeya region. You will be responsible for expanding the customer base, promoting products, and strengthening market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet targets.
• Identify and convert new business opportunities and prospects.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
• Promote and sell steel and building material products.
• Conduct market visits to assess customer needs and sales opportunities.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, sales reports and forecasts.
• Negotiate within approved commercial limits and follow up on leads, orders, deliveries and payments.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure effective customer service and order fulfillment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–6 years of sales and marketing experience, preferably in steel, building materials, cement, ceramics, hardware or construction materials.
• Proven B2B sales and business development track record.
• Strong customer relationship management and market development abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Commercially aware, proactive, self‑motivated and target‑driven.
• Willingness to undertake regular market and client visits.
