Sales Management Intern – Tanzania

About the role

This internship supports the Tanzania Cluster Chief Commercial Officer and is based in Dar es Salaam. You will work as a business developer within the sales organisation, analysing market data to uncover new opportunities for CMA CGM.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market analysis to determine market size and CMA CGM’s share.
• Perform competition benchmarking and feed valuable market intelligence back to the team.
• Monitor overall cluster performance per agency and prepare periodic performance reports.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities through market studies and inland projects.
• Participate in commercial meetings, presenting CMA CGM performance and market insights.
• Prepare detailed business plans for new initiatives and support ongoing projects.
• Assist the Tanzania Cluster sales manager and general manager in coordinating sales activities.

Required profile

• Diploma in a business‑related field; a degree is preferred.
• Strong analytical and diagnostic abilities with a focus on data‑driven decision making.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Adaptable, flexible and comfortable with change.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook.
• Experience using Microsoft Project or similar project‑time management tools.
