Retail Manager

About the role

The Retail Manager will lead the implementation of the VE Retail Strategy across the assigned region, driving volume, profitability and operational excellence. This role combines strategic planning, budget management and team leadership to ensure retail sites meet financial and service targets.

Key responsibilities

• Implement the VE Retail Strategy, including network and marketing plans.
• Achieve volume and financial targets for fuel, lubricants and other retail products.
• Manage OPEX budget, control costs, and oversee CAPEX spending within approved limits.
• Engage and motivate the Retail Leadership team to deliver objectives.
• Supervise retailer management processes and ensure compliance with group standards, credit policies and HSSE requirements.
• Coach and develop the retail team, monitor performance and competency development.
• Support the Managing Director in stakeholder management and dealer relations.
• Negotiate contracts for NTIs in line with the retail strategy.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail or commercial management, preferably in a multi‑site environment.
• Strong leadership and people‑development skills.
• Ability to work across geographies and manage cross‑functional initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation capabilities.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control and financial performance monitoring.
