Relationship Manager – SME Banking (Mwanza)

About the role

NCBA Bank Tanzania is seeking a dynamic Relationship Manager to lead its SME Banking portfolio in Mwanza. The role focuses on building strong client relationships, driving business growth, and ensuring portfolio quality within the Tanzanian SME market.

Key responsibilities

• Client Relationship Management: Actively manage, nurture, and grow relationships with Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) clients.
• Business Development: Drive business growth through tailored financial solutions, credit facilities, and cross‑selling bank products.
• Client Partnerships: Build lasting client partnerships and deliver exceptional service to maximize customer satisfaction and retention.
• Portfolio Quality: Analyze financial reports, assess credit risk, and manage portfolio quality to ensure sustainable business growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Economics or a related field.
• Relevant experience in relationship management, SME banking, commercial lending or sales within the financial services sector.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal and analytical abilities with a proven track record of managing high‑value client portfolios.
• Deep understanding of the Tanzanian SME market, credit risk analysis, and regulatory frameworks.
