Regional Finance Manager

About the role

The Regional Finance Manager will lead the finance function for the East Africa region, overseeing operations in Tanzania and Kenya. Reporting to the Finance Director – Africa and dotted‑line to the General Manager – East Africa, the role sits on the East Africa Management Committee and contributes to regional strategy and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Drive strategic and commercial financial leadership, supporting the General Manager and senior leadership in achieving corporate objectives.
• Own the monthly financial close and produce accurate reporting packs for the Regional Finance Director and FP&A teams.
• Partner with local executive teams, conducting regular business reviews and providing commercial finance insights.
• Manage regional cash, working capital and capital projects, leading cash‑generation initiatives.
• Ensure robust tax, governance, risk and compliance processes, acting as the primary contact for TRA and KRA audits.
• Lead finance transformation, improving ERP and financial systems to enhance decision‑making visibility.
• Develop and coach finance teams across Tanzania and Kenya, fostering high‑performing talent.
• Maintain strong stakeholder relationships with global finance, operations, auditors and legal counsel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field and CPA qualification.
• 10+ years of finance experience with senior‑level management responsibility, preferably in a multinational, matrix environment.
• Proven track record of leading finance teams and delivering strategic financial reporting and analysis.
• Experience handling complex tax environments, statutory compliance and audit engagements.
• Strong commercial mindset with ability to partner with business leaders and drive performance.
