Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor position at Kazibora is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Dar es Salaam. You will be responsible for managing construction costs throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring financial efficiency and compliance with project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for construction projects.
• Develop and maintain cost plans and budgets.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures and analyze cost variances.
• Provide cost‑control advice and recommend cost‑saving measures.
• Prepare regular cost reports for stakeholders.
• Support tender preparation and contract documentation.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and contractors to ensure financial alignment.

Required profile

• Proven ability in cost management for construction or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in preparing, reviewing and managing BOQs.
• Experience in cost reporting and budget updates for project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail.
• Relevant academic qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• Familiarity with standard construction contracts and tendering procedures.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Dar es Salaam and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Professional certification or membership in a recognized quantity surveying body is an advantage.
