Project Officer (Resilience & Livelihoods)

About the role

World Vision is seeking a Project Officer to lead resilience and livelihoods interventions in Babati. The role focuses on technical implementation, partnership coordination, and monitoring to improve the lives of vulnerable children and families.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and strategic engagement for livelihoods activities, ensuring leadership in implementation.
• Develop and monitor an annual project plan, adjusting constraints to meet budgetary objectives.
• Facilitate technical assistance to regional, district, and ministry stakeholders for maximum project impact.
• Identify and manage project risks, escalating critical issues to senior management and donors.
• Coordinate with cluster managers, technical specialists, and local partners to integrate and scale interventions.
• Oversee social behavior change communication strategies for community adoption.
• Lead high‑quality project reporting, M&E tracking, and donor narrative/financial reports.
• Manage partnership capacity building, monitoring, and annual health checks.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to lead technical implementation of livelihood projects.
• Experience in risk identification, mitigation, and escalation within donor‑funded programs.
• Strong coordination skills with government ministries, NGOs, and local partners.
• Proficiency in preparing and delivering donor reports and project documentation.
• Commitment to high‑performance management culture and zero tolerance for fraud.
