Project Manager – Product Team (Tanzania)

About the role

We are seeking a Project Manager to join our product team and lead day‑to‑day product operations for our Customer and Sales apps in Tanzania. You will act as the primary on‑ground liaison, coordinating feature rollouts, testing, and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Customer App in Tanzania, coordinating feature rollouts, planning, communication and post‑launch monitoring.
• Organise and run testing cycles, gathering structured feedback from internal testers and real users before each release.
• Conduct customer interviews to capture usage insights and translate them into clear product requirements.
• Own the Sales App, linking field agents, sales management and the product team, and manage training and adoption tracking.
• Run structured testing with sales agents, document issues and ensure resolution before go‑live.
• Lead ad‑hoc product projects such as integrations with local payment providers, risk or ID verification partners, and telecom operators.
• Define project scope, coordinate stakeholders, track progress, manage external vendors and internal IT teams, and document outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management, Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Telecommunications or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in product management, business analysis, project coordination, fintech or digital product roles.
• Proven experience managing mobile applications, product rollouts, user acceptance testing and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and project management capabilities, with experience gathering customer feedback and translating it into product requirements.
• Fluency in English and Swahili.
