Project Manager (2 Vacancies) – Tanzania

About the role

The Project Manager will lead district‑level implementation of Raising the Village’s integrated graduation model in Tanzania. Reporting to the Head of Program Implementation, the role oversees a portfolio of clusters, ensuring performance, cost and timeline targets are met while coordinating closely with local government.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end execution of the integrated model across assigned districts, monitoring household reach, income growth and infrastructure completion.
• Serve as the primary liaison with district and ward authorities, aligning implementation calendars with local development plans and submitting required reports.
• Supervise project officers, translate work plans into weekly schedules, conduct performance reviews and provide coaching.
• Analyse dashboard metrics and field data to identify under‑performing indicators and implement rapid‑cycle corrections.
• Manage district budgets, monitor burn rates, oversee procurement and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of progressive program implementation experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑site development programmes in rural contexts and work with district‑level government systems.
• Strong analytical competence, comfortable interpreting performance dashboards and financial reports.
• High integrity, resilience and ability to operate independently in remote environments with up to 80 % travel.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with digital reporting systems.
