Project Assistant – Community Development (4 positions)

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking four motivated Project Assistants to support community‑driven development initiatives across multiple villages in Kyerwa, Tanzania. You will work directly with partner villages, facilitating training, monitoring progress, and ensuring project compliance to help increase household incomes and reduce extreme poverty.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct project design review meetings with partner villages and provide feedback for design and budget updates.
• Coordinate and co‑facilitate training sessions on financial literacy, health, sanitation, agriculture, livestock management, and other thematic areas.
• Implement RTV’s project methodologies, develop procurement lists, verify goods before distribution, and support community groups.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures, and report on project performance to leadership and community members.
• Prepare weekly work plans, field reports, and assist with donor reporting and proposal writing.
• Attend staff and cluster meetings, submit financial requests, and maintain a photo repository for data tracking.
• Provide feedback to senior staff for monitoring, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in community development, project implementation, or a related field.
• Fluent in Kiswahili, Kinyambo, and Kihaya.
• Willingness to travel extensively (up to 80 % of time) across different wards.
• Residing in Tanzania and able to work onsite in rural settings.
