Project Analyst – Dumisha Amani II

About the role

The Project Analyst will support the implementation of the Dumisha Amani II peacebuilding project in Tanzania mainland and Zanzibar. Working under the Project Manager, the incumbent will coordinate with UNDP, government ministries, civil society and youth organisations to advance youth‑focused peace and development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed implementation plans aligned with national youth policies and Dumisha Amani‑II objectives.
• Facilitate multi‑stakeholder coordination among UNDP, government bodies, CSOs and community structures.
• Provide technical support to strengthen national and community peace infrastructures, including community policing initiatives.
• Lead the implementation and monitoring of the National Action Plan on Youth, Peace and Security (NAP‑YPS) and community peacebuilding action plans.
• Support the establishment and sustainability of youth centres as platforms for peacebuilding and skills development.
• Develop M&E tools, collect and analyse data, and produce technical reports, case studies and policy briefs.

• Demonstrated ability to plan, monitor work and deliver quality results on time.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a pragmatic approach.
• Excellent communication and partnership skills, able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
