PRN X-Ray / C-Arm Technologist

About the role

This position provides on‑call (PRN) support for diagnostic X‑ray and C‑Arm procedures. The technologist ensures accurate imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret physician orders for each imaging study.
• Verify patient identity and obtain relevant medical history.
• Prepare and operate X‑ray and C‑Arm equipment, ensuring optimal technical settings.
• Explain procedures to patients, manage anxiety, and maintain infection‑control standards.
• Apply collimation, positioning, and radiation‑safety techniques to minimize exposure.
• Critique image quality and participate in quality‑assurance programs.
• Document orders and charge procedures using the RIS system.
• Assist with on‑call coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lb regularly and stand or walk for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks quickly.
