Pest Control Service Technician

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Pest Control Service Technician to join Rentokil Initial in Zanzibar. You will deliver safe and effective pest control services to residential and commercial customers while adhering to health, safety and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled pest control treatments according to supervisor instructions.
• Accurately record treatment programs, chemicals used and maintain service cards.
• Handle chemicals in compliance with health and safety policies.
• Plan and review service routes, communicating any changes to minimise travel costs.
• Generate leads and cross‑sell additional products, aiming for at least two sales leads per month.
• Report health and safety incidents promptly to the SHE Supervisor.
• Participate in in‑house training and meetings as required.
• Maintain company tools, uniform and professional etiquette.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in horticulture, chemical processing or a related field.
• Minimum of one year proven experience in pest control or a similar environment.
• Valid driving licence and ability to drive safely.
• Fluent in English and Swahili.
• Optional: Tropical Pesticide Research Institute certification.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
