People Operations Manager

About the role

The People Operations Manager will lead all human resources and people management functions across multiple boutique hospitality properties in Tanzania. Acting as the primary link between management and employees, the role ensures efficient recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, training, performance management, compliance, and staff welfare.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including advertising, screening, interviewing and reference checks.
• Coordinate onboarding, induction programs and prepare employment contracts and HR documentation.
• Maintain confidential employee records and support performance management and disciplinary processes.
• Develop staff schedules, rosters, and manage annual, sick and other leave.
• Monitor staffing requirements and ensure compliance with labour regulations.
• Coordinate payroll preparation, verification, benefits administration and statutory deductions.
• Organise employee training, development programs and promote company culture and service excellence.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and labour legislation, maintaining related records.
• Prepare HR reports, workforce metrics and collaborate with department managers on staffing needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business or related field.
