Operations & Business Analytics Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Operations & Business Analytics Manager to lead data‑driven decision making for Airtel Money across Africa. The role combines analytical insight, strategic planning and oversight of retail and partner operations to drive growth and mitigate risk.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse and interpret daily business data to provide actionable insights for decision‑making.
• Support strategy development and promotional planning in collaboration with cross‑segment teams.
• Monitor performance of business units, including transaction volumes, revenue and financial metrics, and alert stakeholders to trends.
• Identify and address fraud and risk gaps, ensuring robust controls.
• Maintain custody of critical business data and provide accurate information to stakeholders.
• Oversee back‑office administration for retail trade partners, including commission calculations, payments and performance tracking.
• Develop and implement processes for efficient retail operations and partner support.
• Coordinate product enhancements, create specification documents, conduct UATs and manage implementation with technical teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• Proven experience in operations, business analytics or similar roles within telecom or mobile money environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate data into business recommendations.
• Experience in fraud/risk management, performance monitoring and stakeholder communication.
