Multimedia Communications Assistant (Internship)

About the role

WaterAid Tanzania is seeking a Multimedia Communications Assistant to support the creation of video and visual content for advocacy, campaigns and program reporting. The internship will give you hands‑on experience in shooting, editing and producing multimedia material that helps raise awareness about clean water, sanitation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing video shoots, including script preparation, location scouting and equipment setup.
• Film, edit and produce short‑form and long‑form videos for social media, website and internal use.
• Capture professional‑quality photographs of events, products and field activities.
• Support documentary‑style filmmaking, including research, recording and post‑production.
• Create graphic assets such as flyers, posters, social‑media posts and presentations using Adobe Creative Suite.
• Maintain and organise all multimedia files on SharePoint and the organisation’s asset bank.
• Contribute fresh ideas during brainstorming sessions and ensure timely delivery of all deliverables.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Film, Television Studies, Visual Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of camera operation and video equipment.
• Strong interest in water, sanitation and hygiene advocacy.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom, Premiere Pro or similar).
• Experience in video editing and post‑production.
• Photography and image editing skills.
• Familiarity with SharePoint for file management.
• Ability to work under deadlines and follow safeguarding guidelines.
