Market Intelligence, Research and Development Lead

About the role

The Market Intelligence, Research and Development Lead will drive NBC Bank’s research agenda, providing deep market insights, monitoring economic and competitive dynamics, and identifying emerging trends that shape product design and strategic decisions. This senior role combines market intelligence, customer behaviour analysis, and process optimisation to keep the bank agile and customer‑centric.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end market intelligence, including industry scanning, competitive analysis, regulatory trends and macro‑economic monitoring.
• Conduct research on consumer behaviours, customer needs and emerging market expectations to inform business strategy.
• Develop business cases, concept notes and feasibility assessments for new product or process initiatives.
• Facilitate experimentation, prototype testing and pilot implementation of innovative concepts.
• Analyse customer segmentation, journey mapping and sentiment data to uncover friction points and optimisation opportunities.
• Lead transformation initiatives that simplify processes, reduce operational inefficiencies and improve turnaround times.
• Collaborate with Operations, Technology and Business Units to streamline service delivery and accelerate time‑to‑market for new products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Business, Commerce, Management or related fields.
• Experience in a similar environment at a junior specialist level, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Familiarity with digital tools and management information systems.
• Openness to change and strong personal mastery.
