Manager, IFRS & Islamic Finance Reporting

About the role

CRDB Bank is looking for a qualified professional to lead the preparation of its audited financial statements and sustainability disclosures. The role combines IFRS financial reporting with Islamic finance and climate‑related reporting responsibilities, based at the Tanzania Head Office.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare the Bank’s and Group’s audited financial statements in line with IFRS, IFRS S1, IFRS S2 and local regulatory guidelines.
• Lead climate‑related financial disclosures, coordinating data collection for sustainability and Sharia‑compliant reporting.
• Measure, calculate and report Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 greenhouse‑gas emissions and support financed‑emissions assessments using the PCAF methodology.
• Coordinate climate risk identification, scenario analysis, stress testing and physical/transition risk assessments with Risk and Compliance teams.
• Manage Islamic accounting and Sharia‑compliant reporting requirements, supporting internal control frameworks.
• Maintain audit trails, liaise with external auditors, regulators, rating agencies and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics or a related field.
• Professional accounting or finance certification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent) is an advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis or related finance functions.
• Familiarity with sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, IFRS Sustainability Standards, PCAF, NGFS) and strong understanding of IFRS S1/S2.

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Power BI for data visualisation and dashboard creation.
