Manager, Digital Channels & Online Payments

About the role

Vodafone is seeking a commercially driven, customer‑focused Manager to lead the growth and evolution of M‑Pesa’s digital channels and online payment ecosystem. The role will shape strategies that boost digital adoption, transaction volumes, customer engagement and revenue across e‑commerce, subscriptions, travel, entertainment and gaming.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the digital channels and online payments roadmap, aligning with market trends and customer insights.
• Drive commercial performance, increase transaction volumes and revenue through innovative use cases.
• Manage partnerships with local and international platforms to position M‑Pesa as a preferred payment method.
• Collaborate with technology, product, operations, risk, compliance and finance teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
• Lead a high‑performing cross‑functional team, overseeing product development and partner delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years of experience in digital products, payments, fintech, telecommunications, financial services or e‑commerce.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability.
• Proven stakeholder management and leadership skills.
