Manager - Agri Exports

About the role

The incumbent will lead and drive agri business across Africa, developing and managing key supplier and buyer relationships while overseeing export operations for agricultural commodities sourced from Tanzania and the wider East African region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and drive agri business in Africa, developing and managing supplier and buyer relationships.
• Negotiate prices and manage vendors, exporters and traders for export contracts.
• Plan and monitor shipment schedules to meet end‑user requirements and coordinate logistics.
• Oversee procurement, quality checks, documentation and warehouse operations for agri commodities sourced from Tanzania and East Africa.
• Supervise a small local team to ensure smooth export processes and timely reporting.

Required profile

• 7–10 years of experience in agri trading, export management, procurement and logistics within Tanzania/East Africa.
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, International Trade or related field.
• Fluent in written and spoken English; Swahili knowledge is an advantage.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills and a results‑driven attitude.
