Local Consultant – Mapping Development Partner Support for NPA‑VAWC II Tanzania

About the role

The Government of Tanzania is implementing the National Plan of Action to End Violence Against Women and Children (NPA‑VAWC II). UNFPA, together with the Development Partners Group‑Gender Equality, seeks a local consultant to conduct an in‑depth mapping of development partner interventions supporting this plan.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and consolidate data on technical and financial assistance provided by development partners at national and sub‑national levels.
• Analyse the distribution of support across thematic areas and geographic locations to identify gaps, overlaps and duplication.
• Produce a detailed mapping report that visualises “who is doing what, where, and how” for NPA‑VAWC II implementation.
• Provide recommendations to improve coordination and resource allocation among partners.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in development coordination, gender‑based violence programmes, or similar mapping exercises.
• Strong understanding of the INSPIRE and RESPECT frameworks and Tanzania’s development vision.
• Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and liaise with multiple stakeholders.
