Local Consultant – Mapping Development Partner Support for NPA-VAWC II

About the role

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) is seeking a Local Consultant to lead an in‑depth mapping of development partner support for the implementation of Tanzania's National Plan of Action to End Violence Against Women and Children (NPA‑VAWC II). The consultant will provide a consolidated overview of technical and financial assistance, helping to avoid duplication and identify underserved areas.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, verify and catalogue data on partner interventions at national and sub‑national levels.
• Analyse the geographic and thematic distribution of support to highlight gaps and overlaps.
• Produce a comprehensive mapping report with actionable recommendations for the Development Partners Group‑Gender Equality.
• Facilitate coordination meetings with development partners and government stakeholders.
• Ensure all findings are aligned with the INSPIRE and RESPECT Women frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in development coordination, gender equality, or related fields.
• Familiarity with Tanzania’s development context and the NPA‑VAWC II framework.
• Strong analytical, reporting and stakeholder‑engagement abilities.
• High ethical standards and commitment to UNFPA’s mission.
