Key Account Manager

About the role

The Key Account Manager will drive revenue growth and increase market share for Matemwe Attitude by developing strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and collaborating closely with the central sales team and hotel operations. This role is ideal for a proactive sales professional who thrives on building meaningful relationships and delivering measurable results.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the property’s sales plan in line with the Group’s commercial strategy.
• Identify and pursue new business across leisure, corporate, MICE, incentive, wedding and group segments.
• Prospect, negotiate and secure new accounts to boost hotel revenue and market penetration.
• Maintain strong relationships with travel trade partners, tour operators, DMCs, corporate clients, event planners and travel agents.
• Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly sales reports and ensure accurate client records in the CRM system.
• Collaborate with the General Manager and operational departments to deliver seamless client experiences, including site inspections, familiarisation trips and event coordination.
• Represent the hotel at trade shows, roadshows, workshops and industry events.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales or key account management, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while aligning with central sales strategies.
