Junior Architect

About the role

The Junior Architect will join a multidisciplinary team in Tanzania, working on‑site to support architectural design projects from concept through detailed documentation. Under senior guidance, you will help translate ideas into clear plans, 3D models and presentation materials.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing design proposals and 3D drawings.
• Prepare presentation and documentation packages for clients and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with engineering and construction teams to maintain design intent.
• Participate in project planning, site visits, measurements and technical specification reviews.
• Incorporate design changes based on feedback and ensure compliance with local building codes.
• Maintain organized project documentation and support sustainable design practices.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in architecture and architectural design.
• Basic understanding of software development integration as it relates to design tools.
• Demonstrated project‑management abilities, including task organization and timeline tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a closely related field, or equivalent training.
• Analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp.
• Familiarity with visualization tools for presenting design concepts.
• Knowledge of local building regulations, construction methods and sustainable design principles.
