IT & Tracking Officer

About the role

The IT & Tracking Officer will be responsible for overseeing the company's vehicle tracking ecosystem and the supporting IT infrastructure. You will work closely with operations to ensure real‑time data accuracy, enable efficient route planning and maintain fleet compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage vehicle tracking systems (GPS/fleet management software) in real time.
• Maintain accurate tracking data and generate reports on vehicle movement, routes and performance.
• Troubleshoot IT and tracking system issues, escalating hardware or software faults as needed.
• Support installation, configuration and maintenance of tracking devices across the fleet.
• Coordinate with operations teams to align tracking data with route planning, fuel monitoring and driver accountability.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure that supports tracking systems, including servers, network connectivity and databases.
• Prepare periodic reports on system performance, anomalies and fleet compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an IT & Tracking role within the transportation and logistics industry.
• Hands‑on experience with GPS/fleet tracking software and systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Good understanding of networks, databases and basic IT infrastructure.
• Ability to work independently and respond promptly to system issues.
• Strong reporting and communication skills.
