About the role

The Innovation Officer will focus on adolescent and youth participation, supporting UNICEF Tanzania’s digital transformation agenda. Working within the Digital Impact & Innovation Unit, the officer will help adapt, implement and scale digital platforms and technology for development solutions.

Key responsibilities

Enable continuous operation of ICT infrastructure and ensure accessibility to ICT solutions and services.
Provide help, support and capacity‑building to programme sections on digital platforms such as U‑Report and RapidPro.
Assist with operational and administrative tasks to deliver results.

Required profile

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, IT management, business administration or a related field.
At least 2 years of experience in IT management, large‑scale innovation, digital transformation or Technology for Development projects.
Proven ability to conceptualise, plan and execute digital and innovation initiatives and to transfer knowledge to others.
