Hydropower Engineer

About the role

The Hydropower Engineer will support the Infrastructure Engineering Manager in delivering hydropower projects, overseeing all phases from planning through construction and commissioning. This position ensures engineering quality, safety, and timely execution while coordinating with suppliers, contractors, and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Infrastructure Engineering Manager in managing hydropower engineering projects.
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and monitor construction activities for hydropower installations.
• Lead the preparation, review, and maintenance of project schedules and construction plans.
• Monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance of on‑site engineering and construction work.
• Organise inspections, evaluations, and performance assessments of construction activities.
• Oversee supplier and contractor contract execution, including dispute resolution.
• Facilitate communication and coordination with contractors, consultants, government authorities, and other external stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical, Hydraulic, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in hydropower installation and construction management.
• Proven experience as a Project Manager responsible for the full hydropower installation process.
