HSE Officer - Petroleum

We are looking for an HSE Officer responsible for maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards across the company's depot, stations, offices, warehouses, and other work areas in Tanzania.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular daily, weekly, and monthly HSE inspections.
• Identify workplace hazards and conduct risk assessments.
• Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and HSE awareness programs.
• Ensure availability and proper use of PPE by all employees.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near‑misses, prepare reports, identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
• Monitor waste management and environmental pollution to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain required fire certificates and ZEMA certification for the depot and stations, and ensure fire extinguishers are serviced on schedule.
• Prepare HSE reports, records, statistics and documentation for regulatory inspections.
• Provide first aid to employees when required and coordinate hospital treatment.
• Work closely with different departments to promote a strong HSE culture.
• Maintain proper attendance and comply with company procedures.
