Heavy Machinery Operator – Mining (Tanzania)

About the role

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking experienced operators to join its fast‑growing team at the Geita Gold Mine in Tanzania. The role involves operating heavy mining equipment, performing routine inspections and preventive maintenance, and ensuring all work follows the planned schedule while strictly adhering to safety protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Operate heavy mining equipment in support of mining operations.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on the equipment.
• Ensure work is carried out according to plan and complies with safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience operating heavy machinery.
• Valid heavy machinery driver’s licence and professional certificate in heavy machinery operation.
• Completion of secondary school education.
• Valid Tanzanian driving licence (class C, D, E & F).
• Proficient in reading and writing English.
• Police clearance certificate and successful pre‑employment medical examination.
