Head of Operations

About the role

The Head of Operations will ensure that all operational aspects of the business align with corporate strategy and drive sustainable growth. Reporting to senior leadership, this role oversees the planning, direction and performance of the operations unit across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate and execute the operations strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate, in‑country, customer and brand portfolio strategies.
• Oversee delivery of high‑quality, seamless services, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement and digitalisation of customer processes.
• Coordinate demand planning, events, projects and system roll‑outs, including testing, operational readiness and proactive monitoring.
• Build and maintain sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are met in enterprise initiatives.
• Lead compliance, risk management and budget tracking, using forecasts to identify opportunities and challenges.
• Manage and develop a high‑performing team through performance development, coaching, recruitment and workforce planning.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification (NQF Level 8) in Business Management or equivalent; MBA is an advantage.
• Strong strategic thinking, networking and risk‑management capabilities.
• Proven leadership, negotiation and decision‑making skills with a future‑oriented mindset.
