Head of Mechanical Engineering – Airport Systems

About the role

Egis is seeking a senior leader to oversee the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems at an airport. The Head of Mechanical Engineering will implement the maintenance policy defined by the Technical Director, ensuring compliance, availability, and optimal performance of all mechanical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance programs for airport mechanical systems.
• Oversee execution of maintenance tasks performed by assistant engineers, technicians, and subcontractors.
• Implement and manage a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for planning, reporting, and analysis.
• Analyze maintenance reports, raise corrective actions, and coordinate escalations.
• Monitor equipment performance, ensure compliance with functional standards, and supervise installation and commissioning activities.
• Continuously review and optimize task lists, inspection procedures, and maintenance processes.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in airport or large‑scale infrastructure environments.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams and manage subcontractors.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret maintenance data and drive improvements.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
