Head of IT Strategy, Architecture & Innovation

About the role

Vodafone is seeking a Head of IT Strategy, Architecture & Innovation to lead the definition and execution of the enterprise technology roadmap. The role will drive digital transformation, AI initiatives and ensure alignment with business objectives while fostering a culture of experimentation and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the enterprise technology strategy, linking innovation to measurable business outcomes such as efficiency, revenue growth and customer experience.
• Own the technology and AI strategy roadmap, prioritize initiatives, manage investment trade‑offs and eliminate duplication across the landscape.
• Lead AI governance, ensuring compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, regulatory and ethical standards, and oversee end‑to‑end delivery from pilots to scaled deployment.
• Plan long‑range budgeting, CAPEX and OPEX for IT and billing portfolios, tracking signature programs against short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Develop internal innovation capabilities, tools and ways of working, and nurture up‑skilling and reskilling of the team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a comparable technology leadership role.
• Hands‑on experience with GSM and Mobile Money products and an understanding of their impact on network elements.
• Strong analytical abilities and a track record of delivering technology‑driven business value.
