Grants Officer – Finance & Administration

About the role

The Grants Officer supports EGPAF Tanzania’s programs by managing contracts, ensuring compliance with donor and US Federal Government regulations, and providing financial oversight for grant recipients across multiple regions. This role involves close collaboration with technical leaders, partners, and finance teams to maintain effective grant administration.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct compliance reviews and risk assessments for partners at least twice a year, and advise technical leaders on potential risks.
• Manage cash flow for grant recipients, submit monthly cash requests, monitor expenses, and provide financial analysis.
• Ensure all grant contracts are active, monitor modifications, and facilitate pre‑award assessments.
• Provide technical assistance and capacity‑building trainings on USG, EGPAF, and donor regulations.
• Maintain accurate documentation, both hard‑copy and electronic, and communicate updates to supervisors and partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum three years’ experience in US Government‑funded grants/contracts administration.
• Project management experience and ability to work independently.
• Willingness to travel throughout Tanzania and the region.
